How to Make an Anti-Aging Cream with Essential Oils

Natural products are always better for your skin. But, instead of spending a lot of money on expensive skin care products, you can prepare your own skin care anti-aging cream. These are the best essential oils with anti-aging properties that you can use in your DIY (Do It Yourself) anti-aging cream.

  1. Geranium essential oil:
    This geranium essential oil is known for its astringent properties. It contracts and tightens the skin and reduces the appearance of wrinkles.
  2. Jojoba essential oil:
    Jojoba essential oil is one of the most popular essential oils when it comes to skin care and beauty. It is the most hydrating essential oil. It deeply moisturizes your skin, heals cracks, and prevents dryness. It provides the same benefits as your own skin’s sebum, such as protecting your skin from dryness, one of the main causes of wrinkles. Jojoba essential oil is non-comedogenic, meaning it will not clog your skin’s pores or cause acne or pimples.
  3. Pomegranate Seed Oil:
    Pomegranate seed oil has long been considered the miracle oil for skin problems. It is the most powerful form of an anti-aging serum. It is the best of the best. This essential oil not only prevents wrinkles and slows other signs of aging, but it contains a natural SPF that protects your skin from the harsh side effects of sun exposure.
  4. Lavender Essential Oil:
    Lavender essential oil has been used since the time of the Egyptians. They used it to mummify bodies because they believed it purified and kept the mummy fresh. In similar fashion, lavender essential oil helps protect and purify your skin and body in general, producing antioxidants that guard your skin against wrinkles and other signs of aging.

To reap the benefits of these essential oils, you can either use them as they are, add them to your skin care products, or can make your own DIY (Do It Yourself) anti-aging cream. Here are two simple recipes.


Multi-Oil Anti-Aging Serum


  • Jojoba oil
  • Lavender oil
  • Pomegranate seed oil or raspberry seed oil
  • Vitamin E oil
  • Frankincense oil

Mix together 15-20 drops of each oil. Pour into a spray bottle and shake well.

This serum will not only rejuvenate your skin, but it will also calm redness and irritation and prevent wrinkles and sagging.

Shea Butter Anti-Aging Cream with Essential Oils

The quantity of these ingredients makes about half a cup, which can easily last you up to three months.

  • 2 tablespoons beeswax
  • 2 tablespoons coconut oil
  • ¼ cup of almond oil
  • ½ teaspoon of Vitamin E oil (can easily be extracted from cod liver oil capsules)
  • 15-20 drops of geranium essential oil
  • 1 tablespoon of shea butter

In a pot, melt beeswax, coconut oil, and shea butter, stirring constantly until they are well mixed. Pour the mixture into a jar and let cool. Add all the essential oils and stir well. Pour the mixture into a container. You can use a butter knife to even the surface of the cream. Use the cream every day before you sleep for best results.
